The Design Process

Once we have agreed to undertake the web site design, we will follow a design process which involves the Client at all stages, providing feedback to ensure that their wishes are met. Generally the process will consist of the following stages :

Initial Consultation

At a first meeting we discuss the Client's requirements and establish the scope of the project.

Project Scope

This will establish the parameters of the project including the Client's objectives, the time scale, the payment terms and the general style of the proposed site.

Design

The Client will provide any content, graphics, logo and other information for inclusion. We will carry out the initial design study to set the style and feel of the web site. The first draft of the page layout will be submitted for approval. Any amendments, even a complete redesign, will then be carried out, before proceeding with the completion of all the web pages. All pages will be submitted for approval.

Finalisation

We will carry out a final check on the content and provide a list of any outstanding information required from the Client. The finished web site will then be made available for viewing by the Client. Any last revisions will be made prior to publication

Publication

The approved web site will be uploaded to the Client's host site. Submission to search engines will follow if required.

Maintenance

Subject to agreement with the Client, a schedule for the continued updating and maintenance of the site will be agreed. Alternatively, training of the Client's staff may be provided to enable simple updating of content.
